The AVLS wrapped up their 2015 Annual Congress this past month (November 12-15, 2015) in Orlando with the largest and most comprehensive program to date. The 29th annual meeting saw more than 1,400 attendees, including registrants, faculty, exhibitors and guests.
“The 2015 Annual Congress was a tremendous success by any standard,” stated AVLS President, Mark Forrestal, MD, FACPh. “I have been coming to the AVLS Congress for a long time now and this year was the best yet. The Program Committee, volunteers and staff made this the premier meeting in vein care.”
Under the direction of Program Committee Co-Chairs, Lisa Amatangelo, MD, FACPh and Melvin Rosenblatt, MD, FACPh, the four-day meeting covered the wide spectrum of venous and lymphatic disorders with basic through advanced tracks in phlebology, ultrasound, nursing and practice management. Hands-on and interactive sessions included sclerotherapy, compression and ultrasound.
In addition to the engaging content, the 29th Annual Congress hosted a variety of social events that provided attendees opportunity to connect with colleagues, whether at the Golf Outing, Fun Run, Silent Auction or special receptions.
“In terms of content and numbers, the meeting continues to improve each year,” noted AVLS Executive Director Bruce Sanders, CAE.
For those not able to attend this year, or even if you did and want to review, the AVLS will be making all of the recorded sessions available for purchase. Look for more information in your email soon.
