Communications Standing Committee
The mission of the Communications Standing Committee is to establish strategic direction for the AVLS in the
domains of;
- Our Societal communications in the field of venous and lymphatic disease supporting our membership with
professional and patient oriented literature and others forms of communication
The mission of the Professional Communications Advisory Committee is to;
- Focus on the development of various communication vehicles and content directed towards healthcare
professionals that have an interest in venous and lymphatic medicine.
- Development of brochures and other supporting literature designed to support members with outreach to
referral
sources
- Content development and support of our digital assets (website(s), video/audio assets, etc)
- Content development and management of our member to member communications, such as myAVLS magazine,
newsletters
The mission of the Patient Education Communications Advisory Committee is to;
- Focus on the development of various communication vehicles and content directed to support the education
and awareness of patients and public in respect to venous and lymphatic disease, treatment and care
- Development of brochures and other supporting literature that present fundamental information designed
to enhance
the educational process of the public and patients
- Content development and support of our digital assets directed towards the public and patients
The mission of the Society Publications Advisory Committee is to;
- To specifically oversee the development of Society Literature requirements
- Editorial development of the Society Handbook, Textbook or other enduring materials
